No. No.

My daughter says she’s allergic to strawberries, but I’ve never witnessed any kind of reaction. I’ll just take her word for it.

My daughter had her son tested as he was getting hives and an itchy mouth. Turns out he’s allergic to eggs, corn and peanuts. Do you know all the things that have corn in it??? It’s crazy!!
I got tested and have a sensitivity to dairy and gluten.

I only had allergy testing done after having obvious allergic reactions to something. The testing was done to find out exactly what I was allergic to. One of my children is in the process of testing now to find out if he has allergies because he develops a rash periodically that we don’t know the cause if. Hopefully we’ll get some answers. The other two children are fine and have no reason for testing at this point.

So what were you allergic to @Seaofclouds?

Yes and yes. I had my allergy testing done as a formality. There wasn’t any doubt of my allergy to chicken/turkey. My symptoms are severe. However, I needed a doctor to prescribe an epi-pen and therefore had to prove I had an allergy. My daughter has had allergy symptoms her entire life. Sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery/red eyes, rashes, throat swelling. We had her tested to identify her specific allergens. Turns out it was a lot – mold/mildew, dust, ragweed, pollen, trees, grass, corn pollen, peas, cats, dogs, bananas, apples. At least she can avoid the food items.

I’m allergic to many things, luckily none of them are food. From what I remember of the list: cats, dogs, bees, 7 different types of grass, 5 or 6 different trees, dust, pollen, horses, mold, roaches, and a few other things.

No kids and never tested, other than the Dr touching me and freaking out a bit. I don’t know what she felt but she just said whoa and went to get a nurse to shoot me in the ass with steroids. How can you feel an allergic reaction?

The hives on my forearms were a dead giveaway I was having an allergic reaction and even though I did have the standard allergy test, it was inconclusive as to the reason for my outbreak. I probably should have invested in the chemical allergy test. Either way it cleared up on it’s own after 3 months of suffering.

Yes and not applicable.

I have had scratch tests done and two different blood tests done to test my allergies. My drug allergies haven’t changed, I developed seasonal, mold and dust allergies as well as birch pollen that very in degrees of how healthy I am in the moment. My food allergies other then Celiacs have altered periodically, Reason for this was over consuming certain foods,,, Intestinal permeability..I ward off further sensitivities by keeping a varied diet. And after a couple of years off dairy I was able to consume it again. I overdid and didn’t need another test to prove I need to remove it again. I don’t have respiratory problems yet with any foods, but there experience migraines, rashes, inflammation, itchiness, joint pain , and involuntary cramping of limbs, itchy tongue, digestive problems, lethargy when eating these foods based on volume of exposure whether I am feeling well to begin with, what type of food it is, whether or not it is compounded over time, and when I was last exposed to the item.

No, I never did, but then again they did not suffer from allergies.

I have been tested many years ago after I moved to the Brazos Valley but the tests were “Inconclusive”.

ok, I did enjoy the poking of 40+ needles in my back! What of it?

I wonder if every single person on earth would show up as being allergic to something if given the testing.

A wasp once wondered if I would react badly to its sting. The wasp was right…
