I have a question about an anti-anxiety medication. Can someone please help?

I take 20 mg of citalopram daily. I have one dose left and I won’t be able to pick up my refill until Wednesday. (today is Monday)

I’m already in a funk because my daughter is home from school with a high fever, and on top of that I can’t reach my husband. It’s not normal for him to not contact me when she’s ill. This probably means he’s having an extremely stressful day and it is making my anxiety worse.

My question is, should I take my last full dose and skip tomorrow, or should I cut my dose in half so I at least have something in my system? I’m asking the collective because I’m sure some of you have been in a similar situation and it takes forever to get a call back from my doc.
