Any crafty DIY ideas/templates for this gift idea?

I am making a family tree display for the members in my family (uncles, aunts, grandparents included). I want to add pictures of everybody but I need a template. Any ideas or templates?

Do you want a three dimensional or a two dimensional display? If you want a three dimensional one you could buy a bonsai tree or a jade plant and tie the pictures onto the appropriate branches.

I’m pretty sure there is computer programs or software for that. Maybe even something free on the internet, I’m not sure.
