Shoes similar to the Nike Air 2015?

Because of a bulging disc that I just found out about not too long ago, my chiropractor highly recommended that I get a pair of Nike Air Max, because it lessens heel impact. However, I’m not sure I feel like spending $130—$150 on shoes. So, if anyone here knows of any really high quality alternatives that has firsthand experience, I’d really like to hear what you have to say.

If you also have experience with Nike Airs, can you tell me if they’re worth the money? Did they help with back pain? Hurting feet? Anything?

Because of my recent hypothyroidism diagnosis, exercising is an absolute must, but when my bulging disc acts up (twice now), it stops me from exercising and living a normal life in general because it’s excrutiating. So, I need a shoe that is actually capable of absorbing shock when I walk 5 miles a day.
