How can users change their password? The hackers have gotten the security question/s too right?

If you remember the password ( I hope) and if hasn’t been updated by hackers ( hopefully) then you don’t need security question information to change your password. You’ll require it only when you have forgotten your password.

I was really surprised to read Varizon wasn’t aware of this breach and were informed couple of days back..

Another thing to consider is do you have accounts with other websites that use the email address to log in where you have reused the yahoo password?

I just changed my password and I had forgotten my PW. So I have it set up for them to confirm it by sending a text to my phone. I was able to go in and change it. I also looked to see when it was last accessed. The last time was back in July when I changed the PW back then. LOL
It doesn’t matter in my case because my Yahoo account has bogus info except for my phone, and it’s only used for junk mail. I never read it. Every couple of months I go in and clean it out. Right now, I have 9999+ emails that I have never read or opened.
