I’ve heard of it, but I really don’t know much about the place. I’m a geography nerd and ex-travel agent. I love to study maps, plus it’s a name that is hard to forget.

Never heard of it. Before hurricane Katrina I couldn’t even find your state on a map.

I’ve only heard of the name and that it’s based on what an indigenous tribe called themselves, IIRC.

I’ve heard of it. I don’t know much about the town. It just seems to end up in a lot of songs, maybe because the city has such a wonderful, musical sounding name.

Lived about 30–40 miles from it. There’s a bayou LaBeuff that runs through it and every Christmas they have the Natchitoches lights festival. Went to it once and it is spectacular! They also filmed “Steel Magnolias” there.
