Does your state have funny-sounding, small, unincorporated areas with funny names?

“Great Question” (2points)

Recently, severe thunderstorm warnings were posted for parts of Tennessee. A radar device posts on the television for times a storm will approach certain towns and small unincorporated areas. Some of these areas have made me laugh with their “off the wall names”, like: Soddy Daisy, Buck Snort and Turkey Track, Tennessee. Each state has these small areas of people with funny names. Question: Can you name some of these areas, in your state, that have names that make you laugh?

It has been on the reality circuit with repo team where the guy’s wife is tougher than a DI at Lejuene.

Convenience store sells ball caps and shirts with “Lizard Lick” on them.

I live near the town of ‘Cool’ California and everything is ‘cool.’

I go to Cool animal hospital, Cool feed, Cool clothing, Cool real estate. lol

I also don’t live far from the town of ‘Mosquito’ and used to live in ‘Fairplay’ in the southern Sierra foothills.

Some of the roads near my home are called ’ Rusty nail, ’ ‘Little spur’, Gopher gulch, Buzzard gulch, Cougar track’ and well…not tellin’ the name of my road. haha

@john65pennington Probably a whole lot less interesting than if it were named “Dime Bag” Texas.

@meiosis my youngest sister recently went to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, and brought back great souvenirs. We must have spent an hour in the car ride back from the airport attempting to say it.
