@Adirondackwannabe, you apparently rounded up to 2.55cm per inch. However, the conversion factor is precisely 2.5400.

I was working the other way cm to the inch, but the conversion factor was 1 cm equals .40 inches, obviously rounded off.

2.54cm = 1 inch.
12 inches = 1 foot.
122cm/2.54/12 = 4.002ft.
