Love the world

It can also mean “elegant love” or “clean love”.

Depends on the context, but I’d go with “love the world” – much more poetic.

Much more poetic, but in a word, wrong. “Love the world” would be ama mundum (singular) or amate mundum (plural).

amor is a noun (not a verb) that means “love.” “mundus” can mean “world,” or it can mean “clean,” in the sense of clean and pure.

It’s part of a famous pun – mundus amoris, the world of love, as opposed to amor mundus, clean and proper love.
