Most residential properties are rent controlled in st, and it has a huge effect on the city. Is this also true for commercial space?

To my knowledge, there doesn’t exist the notion of rent control for commercial space in any city. Rent control is designed to protect individuals not businesses. Signing a long term lease as a business is what gets you “rent control”.
