What concealed-carry holster do you recommend?

“Great Question” (0points)

Awaiting my CC permit in the mail. What’s a comfortable, high quality holster you’d recommend?

It would be for a Springfield XD40 (compact)

Comfort and quality count. I have thunderwear, and it sucks. The velcro band stretched out rather quickly, and now it’s kinda saggy.

Do you normally wear a jacket? I like shoulder holsters for CC. and for my scoped hunting handguns.

If I am going to open carry I have a cross draw leather gunbelt that was custom made that I wear.

No jackets (on most occasions) b/c I live in South Florida!

I have a double shoulder holster I use in colder weather, but I have an inexpensive Fobus plastic hip holster I really like as well. The Fobus is not only inexpensive, but very durable, and I’ve never had it work its way off my hip.

BTW… here’s a great site for CC holders: http://www.handgunlaw.us/

Can’t go wrong with anything made by Uncle Mike’s.

At least that’s what I’ve heard.

I have a small NAA .22 mini-revolver that I sometimes carry in a pocket holster in my pocket. Not practical for an XD40.

If you do a lot of standing, I would recommend something that fits in the small of the back. And comfort is a relative term when carrying. If you carry all day, it is going to be uncomfortable some of the time, especially if you are not used to the weight riding on your hip or waistband all day.
