I have some steamed lentils - what to do with them besides soup and salad?

Actually, I’ll take any and all recipes.
But I’m looking for something other than soup or salad.

Use them instead of beans in your favorite baked bean recipe.

Season them with taco seasoning and serve as a side with tacos or burritos.

Anything you normally do with beans you can do with lentils.

@WestRiverrat: that sounds great! thanks!

I just sauteed some mixed veggies in toasted sesame oil and added a little curry powder and cumin. Heated the lentils in the microwave and added them to the veggies… a little soy sauce, a little hot sauce… and viola! not bad :)

Sautee them with some ckicken or ground beef and create some tacos. Easy and delicious.

Indians and Ethiopeans do a lot of cooking with lentils

[and they suggest, to avoid the infamous Blazing Saddles scene—get out the Beano before dinner]

make “meatballs” or breakfast “sausage” patties

(even if you’re not vegan/vegetarian, the sausage patty recipe is AWESOME!)
