Anyone know of a free program that can convert IE bookmarks to Firefox and back again?

Isn’t it possible to simply import the bookmarks from each browser? At times when I download a new browser or re-install, it will ask me to import bookmarks from IE.

Can you be more clear on what you mean by “convert”? Last I checked they were all the same format.

what @mithical says is correct but if I understand the question correctly you would to have your bookmarks synchronized across multiple platforms at all times… in which case you would have to use a 3rd party tool like Xmarks othewise it would be a lot of manual work doing what @mithical said everytime you wanted to do that.

When switching from IE to firefox, the installation process offers to import such things.

I can not imagine wanting to switch in the other direction!
