@alamo the glass never broke, it just dislodged from the door and slid into it. It wasn’t attached with screws or even a rubber gasket, it was simply glued. Good tip on checking the model number though, I was too excited yesterday to do that. I might need that supplier, @alamo, if I can’t find one here, thanks!
A bit about this stove. It’s come with the new house we just bought and are moving into this week! The cleaners who cleaned the place for the sellers did the damage, but we don’t want to make a big issue of it, because they didn’t need to leave the stove in the first place, but they left the stove and the dishwasher for us and all sorts of nice lamps and shelves, and even the patio furniture. Nice people, nice buying process here in Norway. You get to sit at a table with the owners as you all sign the purchase / sale agreement. Not something I had experienced before in buying a house in New Zealand.
There aren’t that many ‘repair’ places left here. There are piles and piles of cast off appliances here. The labour cost to fix things is too high here, generally speaking, but I’ll try a few places after Christmas, and concentrate on Glass places, because there are plenty of them.
We can afford a new one, but don’t want to rush into any purchases right now. The consumer agency has reported that two of the large appliance dealers put their prices up for Christmas. Price gauging, anyone? tsk tsk… won’t be going to those places now.
We are planning on buying a new stove, one with gas preferably.
