I’m trying to look at vark.com, but it seems that, instead of posting a public question like on Fluther, the Aardvark service finds someone who matches topics of a question and is online to give a single answer.
Here, anyone can answer. Community is a huge part of what makes Fluther so awesome. Questions asked on Fluther start discussions, not a search for one person’s answer.
This was a comparison of Vark.com to Fluther, but I’m sure that I researched others, including Quora.com, which I think I found to be strict all around, which differs from Fluther in that Fluther allows askers to choose how their questions are answered (General [serious] or social [relaxed]).
On Formspring, I made an account and tried poking around, and I can only find 5 questions selected for me at random; no option to even ask anything (I don’t use social networking sites, and that might be the problem?) or search for more questions, as far as I can find. Here, the Ask Fluther button is on the home page, to give an example. I can’t see anyone else’s responses to my 5 questions, either.
