My cat licks my hair a lot and sometimes coughs while doing so...should I stop him?

I know I’m on a roll with stupid questions lately but this is legitimate I think. I came back from a 3 week vacation 6 days ago and since then (and even before that, but not as much) my cat is always licking me. At night, when he’s not sleeping on my head or hogging my pillow, he is licking my hair. It’s better than him sleeping on my face so I usually just let him and go to sleep. I admit it kind of feels good, too, lol. It’s soothing! But last night he would lick and then sneeze/cough on me. I don’t think it was a sneeze but it seemed like a mixture between that and a cough. It was weird. He never coughs up hairballs though so…should I make him stop? It feels like when he licks it pulls a few hairs out so they have to be going somewhere, and I don’t wake up with a pile of hair beside my head so….

I don’t want him to do this if hair is going to get intertwined with his stomach and intestines or something or cause any other problem…

Don’t laugh I’m serious
