I have a new house with lots of walls. We are researching ways to decorate the house with art. Right now there is no budget to buy original art pieces, but still we would like to have some images and designs on the wall. I hope to be able to find something better than just posters.

We were thinking that perhaps there is a way to use an advanced form of print (on specific materials) to reproduce images of specific (rights free?) paintings, illustrations and graphic art that we like. We would have budget for nice frames and materials.

Maybe the idea is crazy, and we should buy real art or do with posters for the time being. I do know that for photographic images using a sheet of plexiglass looks really good. I would assume paintings, and graphic illustrations would ave a different optimal technique. Any ideas are welcome.
