Green Bay Who?
I’m afraid that Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent are the greatest team in the history of sports, for their coxless pair rowing exploits. Between 1992 and 1996 they won every world championship and olympic gold available to them, an astonishing feat in such a gruelling discipline as rowing. They then paired up with two other rowers to win every world championship and olympic gold in the coxless fours for the next four years
Steve Redgrave won gold at five consecutive olympics, between 1988 and 2004 – to keep oneself at the peak of physical performance for 16 years (and suffering from ulcerative colitis and diabetes for much of that time) is mind-boggling.
