I know that FOX is more on the conservative side, but what is a news source (Cnn, AP, etc.)that would take on a completely different view.

Ah, thought you were looking for general information. Local sources? CNN, AP, Fox are all international news organizations. NPR has a tendency to be left of center, although that's more in which stories they choose to present than their actual content. Murdoch founded FoxNews to bring a right-of-center view on the air, so pretty much anyone else. New York Times is the only source I can think of that's blatently left.

Colbert Report?

I would go for one of the progressive news services--a really good one would be Democracy Now with Amy Goodman (both TV and Radio). I think the site is democracynow.org , or you could google it. For a print news service that is progressive, try AlterNet.org which is a compilation of progressive news online. for other leftist news, try the Mother Jones online site/ blog or The Nation online.

CNN might have a slightly different perspective than FOX, i.e. it won't be as blatantly conservative, but it is not going to give you a leftist view, if that's what you're looking for.
