What is an example of a colloid and how do you separate it?

I am writing an essay on colloids and need a simple example and a way to separate it. It needs to be short and pretty simple. Please help!!

Can you define an example of a colloid?

I have no idea how to separate colloids but tow common examples are milk and fog. I would suggest you do your own research on how to separate them, though.

Lemonade is a colloid. You can boil the water out, but it will ruin your pan.

Here is a site that describes colloids. I had a science teacher who brought some Jello to class to show an example of a colloid. I do not know how colloids are separated. I would imagine that it would depend on the type of colloid.
