How did you get 26.1 for your BMI? The formula I know goes like this:
Calculate the BMI in three steps:
Step 1: Multiply your weight by 703.
Step 2: Divide that number by your height in inches.
Step 3: Divide that number again by your height in inches.
For you:
Step 1: 130×703 = 91,390
Step 2: 91390/65 = 1,406
Step 3: 1,406/65 = 21.63
So your BMI is 21.63, which is in a healthy range. And just for the record, this is using a basic formula, it is not necessarily spot on for you. There is also a body fat calculator on this page that is another measurement you may want to look at.
This doesn’t meant that you’re healthy, by the way. You need to eat right, get some exercise, get your sleep and take care of yourself in general. Only you and your parents know if that’s happening.
