What are these purple spots on my toes?

“Great Question” (0points)

There are raised purple-reddish bumps on the tips of my toes of varying sizes. It started out on the side of my pinky toe, one larger surrounded by a couple of smaller ones, but now I have some on my other foot. They are just above the top joint near the toenails. They aren’t painful at all, but they are slightly tender if I run my finger over them. My feet are otherwise completely normal. I don’t have any health problems that would be related to it, and I’m not on any meds. I do have poor circulation in my toes but I’ve always had that and the bumps have just come up recently. I am probably going to see a doctor, however, I want to know whether the issue is pressing or not. Thanks!

They are a sign from God telling you to go to a doctor and ask the same question.

This issue is only pressing if you want to keep your feet and toes intact.

Are you wearing new shoes, or show without socks? Have you had a pedicure recently? Sounds like a trip to a podiatrist is in order. In the meantime, soak your feet in warm water with epsom salt, and then put hydrogen peroxide on your toes.

Are your feet cold? I had small purplish lumps show up under my toes. When I went to the doctor I was diagnosed with Raynaud’s phenomenon (my feet were cold).

Poor circulation maybe? I’d go to the doctor and get it check for sure :)

Another possibility is Chilblains. They are a reaction in the toes (and sometimes other areas) from cold weather exposure. It actually occurs after the cold weather exposure as the toes (or other areas) are being warmed up.

So, I looked and it’s definitely not Raynaud’s or Chilblains. I guess I’ll just find out what it is when I go to the doctor’s.
