Sorry men but this question is for the ladies. I know it’s a strange question to ask but over the years I have realised I have stretchmarks on my breasts. What I mean is when I look down there are faint ones across the top of each breast. Sometimes they make me feel insecure. Is it normal to have stretchmarks on your breasts?

It is quite common.

Like @marinelife said, it is pretty common. Don’t take my word for it, but I think it’s most common among women whose breasts developed quickly, or who have gained or lost a significant amount of weight, or who have breastfed. I have ‘em, too.

@Seelix I’m 22 yrs old with no kids however over the last 5yrs I have gained quite alot of weight :(. However I was noticing the stretch marks before the weight gain.

@silvermoon – My theories were just theories – but if you’re interested, here‘s a site that talks about how they’re formed, and here‘s another that also talks about ways that might help to “cure” them.

Not if you’re a man.

Your skin only has so much elasticity. Yes, stretch marks are common anywhere if you’ve grown quickly in any capacity.

Yes it is very common, especially if you have somewhat large breasts, or your breasts grew from your childhood body size to your adult sized breasts relatively quickly when you were developing, or if you have gained weight over a relatively short period of time. Nothing to worry about, not much you can do about them either. Embrace the stretchies.

yes

Of course it’s normal, and guys do not care. A lot of men like big breasts as well, and stretch marks come with that.

nothing to be worried about though unless you accidentally step on them :/

I think they’re most easily noticed soon after a distinctive weight loss, before the skin has a chance to adjust some elasticity and have a few seasons of shed. Most people I’ve seen have stretch marks from just growth spurts, childhood to adulthood.

I went from flat chested to a C cup in a little over a year and ended up with stretch marks on my breasts. Have no fear those marks eventually fade away.

Based on my exhaustive research into the skin texture and close-up appearance of the human female’s breasts, it isn’t at all unusual. They grow a great deal during preparation for, and the course of lactation. I told my wife they were beauty marks, the stripes she earned in the beauty of motherhood.
