“Great Question” (0points)

Just curious to see if it is in any way possible to download or save Grooveshark mp3 music. I pretty much use it all the time to listen to music online but I’d also like to save a couple of mp3 songs onto my pc or cell phone.

What solution or program could I use to save Grooveshark mp3 music?

For groove shark you can build playlists so they can follow you from computer to computer. If you want to have access to them on your mobile phone you have to sign up for their mobile plan which is 9.00 a month.

That is a possibility, but you can also use TinyShark, for free.

Check out Applian and their entire suite of programs for recording audio and video.

I’m quite new, and don’t know if this is allowed to be spoken of on Fluther. If so, sorry Fluther!! If I need a song , it usually been uploaded to a media hosting site.

Google ‘site:mediafire.com song name’. example: ‘site:mediafire.com Lil Wayne’ and should show up some results!

I see, well thanks for the suggestions so far. It would have been interesting to get it to work on my cellphone but unfortunately as far as I know it’s not actually on the grooveshark supported list.
That’s the reason I was wondering in the first place, as an alternate solution, if it would be possible to download or save grooveshark mp3 music in any way.

@WasCy Do they have a certain Grooveshark Downloader I should look at first or ?

No, Applian works on whatever source you feed it. For Grooveshark you have to specify* “Record” rather than “Download”, since they’ve modified the site to no longer permit “download”. But I can’t tell the difference between a “Downloaded” or “Recorded” file.

*In the program’s Setup mode. It’s a pretty good system, but since I don’t have it running right now I can’t tell you exactly how that works. There’s an option box where you add “Grooveshark.com” as a site to “Record .mp3”, and then it’ll do the rest.

Hmm, I see.

I suppose I can manage to find may way round it and set it to record grooveshark mp3 music to my hard disk with this one.

Guess there should not be much difference if I download grooveshark mp3s or simply record grooveshark music.

After all if I am going to listen to the recorded music on my cellphone its earbuds are not meant for rendering high fidelity music anyways.

What about than add-on for mozilla? Download helper or what’s it called.
I think that one might also work to download and save Grooveshark mp3 music to your hard disk.

There surely must be round the internet some info on the supported websites that you can check and see if it’s mentioned whether it’s also works to download music from grooveshark or not.

Hmm, you mean this one link ?

Don’t think this Mozilla extension can really be used to download Grooveshark mp3 music, I don’t see no Grooveshark mentioned in the supported sites list. This is just a video downloader, for websites like youtube and alike.

There’s also some Audials Tunebite little proggy that works as well to record mp3 music from Grooveshark link

It works, among other things, just like an audio stream recorder.I mostly use it on other streaming sites I like but also occasionally record and save Grooveshark mp3 music for later listening, whenever I find anything interesting.

It’s quite helpful, this one does batch recording and converting and I end up with good cut and named mp3 songs.

Interesting, well thanks for suggestions that Audials Tunebite program @ verycole.
If you say this one works to download and save mp3 music from Grooveshark, I have to give it a try as well.

Thanks for the tips, you guys are really so very helpful.
