Can you help me with this FaceBook friend request glitch?

Okay… so at around 5:30pm I got a friend request that I didn’t accept right away because I wanted to check out the profile first. When I got there later, at around 6 or so, I noticed that the friend request had disappeared. I searched the name and nothing came up, and I still have the email and everything.

Is it possible that the person blocked me, was it just a glitch, or… what?

Honestly @troubleinharlem, if you have to have to Google a profile; drop the friends’ request. Just sayin’.

That recently happened to me, and I wondered if it was a glitch or the request was retracted. While I don’t have an answer, I wouldn’t read into it. If you want to be friends with the person, send them a request or a message. If not, then consider it being let off the hook.

Edit: I just re-read the question and see that you cannot find the person. Maybe they deleted their profile. I’ve had a couple of FB friends do that, only to reappear later under another profile.

@bkcunningham : It was a friend request of someone that I hadn’t seen in years or had even thought about, so I’d rather not drop it. I wanted to reconnect with the person.

@Pied_Pfeffer : The thing is, I would, but their profile disappeared out of thin air.

So what is the hesitation @troubleinharlem?

@bkcunningham : That their profile isn’t there anymore?

Are you sure it’s not a virus? I get emails from “FaceBook” sometimes but it’s phishing.

Hhmmm. Did I respond to you @troubleinharlem?

Sounds like they blocked you or have deleted their account. Don’t worry about it – if they want to get in touch they can still find you.
