I want to get one for the family, and I don’t know a whole lot about them. I’ve owned a PS2 for years, and I know most PS3s aren’t retro-compatible. Since PS3s haver been out for some years now, I see there are lots of versions. Which one is best? I’d like to get the PS3 Move also. Can I get that with any version of PS3?

I don’t think I want to get a used one, but I don’t have a problem buying a new one of an older version to get a better deal if the improvement in features is marginal.
