Are you going for the glam? Or a more natural look? Some sort of brown taupe will give you a nice natural look. If you want to glam it up black eyeliner on the upper lid and inside lower and then outside lower any color that goes with your eyeshadow. Golds, purples, brown will blue your eyes more.

I read somewhere a charcoal/grey (that’s what I use now).

I have grey eyes too and I always get compliments when I use a dark copper eyeliner. Some color alchemy with that shade picks up greens and makes my eyes almost look aqua. It’s pretty cool.

I am going to buy some copper liner, that sounds fantastic. I use golds, but copper sounds really good also.

Although my eye color is warm, I have a cool complexion and my natural hair color is very ashy so I always think of my palette as being more cool or neutral. I also find that copper and gold eye-makeup is most flattering on me.
Although you have cooler features than mine, I suspect the suggestions for warm eye-makeup would be equally flattering. I think grey is a common go-to color for many people, especially those with coloring like ours. However I’ve always felt like it is a little bit too cool on most people. That’s just a personal opinion, of course, I just rarely see someone that I feel really rocks the grey eye-makeup.
So, on that note, I’m throwing in another vote for golds or coppers.. or brown if those are too loud for the occasion. You may have to play with the undertones. You might find that a cool brown looks more flattering than a warm brown, but that will be trial and error.

Black,purple,or green liner is always pretty and would bring out your grey/blue eyes.

I actually agree with green. I know that might be a little intense for daily wear, but I have never met a woman that doesn’t look awesome wearing lime green eye makeup. It just seems to look great on everyone.

@noelleptc Navy was my immediate thought when I read this question. I was surprised that it took as long as it did to come up, lol!

Navy will likely detract from her eye color, compete rather than enhance. How often do you see a blue eyed star wearing navy or blue eye liner or blue eye shadow, except for a more retro look, super glam, or a specific color statement?

I’m inclined to agree with @JLeslie, I think of navy as being more complimentary to brown eyes. I think @Jude should go nuts and try a bunch of colors and just pick her favorites.

Now I want to play in my makeup, too.

@noelleptc Sure she can try whatever she wants. I have worn navy when I have a very specific reason, and am very made up, but never would daily. You have brown eyes, your colors would be different than hers/ours.

I agree with @ANef_is_Enuf go play with a lot of make-up, get a makover at the mall.

Never hurts to try. And I also think it’d look good with her blue eyes. I have brown eyes too, but I’ve seen it on people with blue eyes and liked it a lot. Also, a lot of the makeup tip people will tell you to try navy as well.

I have tried navy and I didn’t care for it.

Maybe it is my age. We in our 40’s see blue as a young person’s color, a color that went out of fashion, and is usually used by people just starting to use making, or for as I said, glamming it up. It does not surprise me at all that make up artists use every color, they are artists. The face is like a palette or canvas. Sometimes the make up itself is the artistry regardless of the face it is on.

@noelleptc Oprah does not have blue eyes, or brown hair. She also is fairly made up for her show. Seems like @Jude is looking for everyday wear.

Yeah, I agree not only young people wear it, but I think the average white, blue eyed, brown haired middle to upper class 40 year old only wears blue rarely, with specific outfits or on special occasions, not as an everyday color. Again, I say average, not someone who works in cosmetics or likes to be very trendy or unique. Stereotypes and generalizations there, but I think it is more or less true, but also depends on the part of the country. Young people can wear anything, they are their own social group unto their own.

I use black eyeliner, aubergine (eggplant), taupe and grey depending on what I’m doing and what I’m wearing. Alone, my eyes are dark blue on the outer edge, light blue in the middle and then yellow around the pupil. Depending on my makeup and clothing people tell me I have grey, green and hazel eyes. Riiiiight.

The thing is, yours will probably do the same thing because they’re grey blue they’ll react with what’s around them. Grey and taupe is more casual, black upper and aubergine if you’re feelin’ funky.

You sound very pretty. Anything will work.
