Have you ever been bothered by acne cysts? I’ve never had a problem with regular acne (i.e., pimples), even in my teen years, but all my adult (and teenaged) life I’ve gotten the occasional acne cyst, usually on my face and back, but sometimes on my neck, and even groin area, etc. I notice I get about two a year, usually when I lose weight. My doctor said it’s due to over-active hormone (testosterone) activity, but I question that. The cysts that form are often rather large and prominent, and they are deep under the skin and become irritated and red. Anyone else had this problem? Your experience? How long did it take for the cyst to go away?
