“Great Question” (1points)

I´m finally creating my own design agency with a group of friends. So far we have two names we can´t decide with, so i´m asking for your help. What seems more appealing and creative, “Element” or “Milk Moustache”?

I have to say that neither really appeals to me for your purposes. Element could be anything and milk moustache would not get you my serious business.

@Kayak8 thanks for your answer and i understand your point, but try to think outside the box. It´s a communication design agency, i want it to be creative, not obvious.

Element is taken. Not only the clothing/skate brand, but there’s a salon down my street with the same name. As if you would see maybe popular in your area too. “Milk Moustache” is cuter, by far. Not the best name, but it doesn’t compete with a major clothing brand. Yes, this professional advice is free of charge. (in marketing)

How about Commies?

Edit: or commies r us.

no offense or anything, neither of them seem all that original. Why not try and come up with something that actually says something about what your company does?

nunoAfonso's avatar

@FluffyChicken as i said before, we don´t want the name to be obvious. Creative and out of the ordinary are the two key points here.

it could be related to your product without being obvious. If you make it too far fetched or unrelated it won’t stick in the mind.

I think Milk Mustache is good. I like it, it’s different and it’s kind of cute.

It seems you have narrowed down your choices to only these two and based on your criteria, obviously it’s Milk Moustache. If this is your idea of creative and unusual and to come up with something else more playful yet closely related to your business is over and done with then this is it. What is a communication design agency exactly if I may ask?

nunoAfonso's avatar

@mazingerz88 thank you so much for your answer. I didn´t mean any disrespect when i posed this question and the criteria that it follows, in fact the group come up with several names and these we´re the final two. I should have mentioned that i´m portuguese and the agency will be destined only to the national market at first. To answer your question and please excuse my english, a communication design agency is basically is a mixed discipline between design and information-development which is concerned with how media intermission such as printed, crafted, electronic media or presentations communicate with people. A communication design approach is not only concerned with developing the message aside from the aesthetics in media, but also with creating new media channels to ensure the message reaches the target audience.

I’m going to say Reach Out!
No? Oh poo! ;¬}

@nunoAfonso Thanks, that is quite informative and much appreciated. Well, Milk Moustache clearly makes more sense to me now. You are into creating and delivering a message and it has to attract attention, stick in one’s mind and more often than not be a fun thing…like milk on a moustache!

Here is one I find funny but without the milk…yet.

@mazingerz88 i´m still laughing from that. Thank you so much once again, I too find “Milk Moustache” to be more suing to the purpose, and definitely more creative.

I like ‘Milk Moustache’. It conjures up an image and it sticks in the mind.

Milk Moustache…I don’t get it. I would equate it to sloppy work…

Kayak8's avatar

@BarnacleBill Or look like one of the ubiquitous “Got Milk?” ads . . .

Element sounds better. I’d go for it.
