I guess it would depend on how things work at the specific college, but at many colleges, “pre med” isn’t an official major, it’s just a title that indicates that the student intends to go on to medical school after undergrad. The undergrad major may be bio or chemistry.

I’m thinking that the bio major is going to work with human bodies and I’m thinking that the chemistry major is going to work with the role chemistry has in the body and may work in a more laboratory setting rather than going General Practice Physician route? Just a guess.

There is no difference with respect to getting into medical school or their specialties as future physicians. Bio majors have more bio courses to take to receive their college degree, chem majors take more chem courses. That’s about it.
