Yes, this song reminds me of being a little girl in the 70s here. A couple of other little girls and me, who were trained church singers, would do harmony to this on the school bus. I took the highest part.

The vinyl record songs from The Sound of Music. The family had an old plastic record player, and my choices were limited to what was available. I’m pretty sure I learned to sing along to the songs before I ever saw the movie.

You are my sunshine and how much is that doggie in the window. They were my dads favorites and he died when I was 10.

Inevitable by Anberlin, basically just the first verse reminds me of my childhood, but I love the song.

Anything that played on K-Earth 101 and the theme songs to my favourite cartoon shows (lately The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has been stuck in my head.) That’s not a very specific answer, but there are just so many songs that send me down memory lane.

“Trucker Hat” by Bowling For Soup. I was ten when A Hangover You Don’t Deserve came out, and my parents bought me the clean version of it. My best friend, who lived two doors down, had older siblings and was pretty much allowed to listen to anything he wanted. I later found out there was more to it, but at the time this was huge for me because I felt old. My sister and I listened to that album for a summer, mostly of my doing, and “Trucker Hat” was our favorite song because it was just silly and relished in its own stupidity. It was stupid, and it knew it, but it did it in a way that convinced you it didn’t know, and that’s what made it great.

It was “Play Mate”. I can’t remember it accurately but it had the following lines:
Playmate, come out and play with me . . . . Climb up my apple tree . . . . . dollies three . . . .
. . . .
Look down my rain barrel, slide down my cellar door,
And we’ll be jolly friends, forever more.

Oh, and another song was Beer Barrel Polka.

A children’s song called C’est l’Halloween (it’s Halloween)
We used to sing this in school during Halloween, like in grade one or something. I remember my dad singing it with me on one Halloween evening before going out trick or treating, too.
I loved Halloween when I was little, so this song is all special to me and shit. It’s like a remnant of my childhood.
