When some of these ”gangstas” started rapping and the genre took off many just seen the guy on MTV with all the bling and never cared much where the style came from. It is so ingrained in some they, for whatever reason, cannot, give it up for a moment. Is it overdue for this fashion fiasco to be gone? IMO it looks even tackier sometimes when I see young women trying to sport that look.
