Traveling abroad again...iphone question!
I will be traveling to Europe and I want to make sure that I don’t incur additional charges for data usage on my iphone.
If I disable “Cellular Data”, will that insure that my phone is only accessing the internet via a WiFi signal rather than the network?
What exactly does it do?

It stops the phone using cellular network for data (email, web and all the other stuff the iPhone likes to look up all the time). If you’re travelling abroad and using your home country SIM you should probaly switch this off.
Awesome, thank you. It will allow for calls and texts if it’s off?
If I leave the email and browser alone, can I keep it on? If I disable automatic fetching?
If cellular data is off you can still call and text.
To be honest I’d turn it off. Data can be ridiculously expensive particularly if you’re using it on someone else network in a foreign country. This is why apple put the option there.
Switch it (the “data”) off and have a nice stay here!!! :)
