“Great Question” (0points)

I just heard Florence and the Machine last night, and I really liked their sound.

I have been listening to them all day.

What band captured your fancy from the very first time you heard them?

Oak and Gorski (the 2 lead instruments are a cello and a guitar!) Ken Oak the lead singer has an amazing voice and some of their songs/arrangements remind me of the “classical bits” on The Beatles Eleanor Rigby.

Or the previous incarnation as Ken Oak Band

I recently discovered Woodkid through this amazing game trailer, plus I’ve discovered bands like The Black Angels via TV advertisements.

I always feel a little weird getting into a band I’ve found via a commercial, but whatever.

David Ford.

He’s sexy AND he makes great music.

@dverhey That’s how I discovered The Plain White Ts. Their song was in a commercial.

Mumford and Sons for me, too. Also Jason Mraz.

In my ancient days it was Jethro Tull. In my modern days it was Tool.

Dawes. I went to a free concert last year put on by a radio station. They’re a great band and are now playing with Robbie Robertson and Jackson Browne.

Pearl and The Beard. I saw them live a show that Ben from Mumford & Sons curates both in the US and the UK. First song in, which was this one, I was in.

@filmfann I love David Gray. I got to see him in concert and he was amazing. Had most of the women in the audience weeping.
