I listen most kinds of music from classical (my favorite if I had to choose a genre), jazz (this is a more recent interest, hated it as a kid and young adult) to ethnic music (especially music from India) to blues and bluegrass and gospel (not a lot, but some I have started to really appreciate as an adult) to Xmas music (which I listen to year round) and and ambient/new age stuff like Enya and gypsy jazz (like Django Reinhardt) and dixieland jazz and ragtime, as well as standards like Dean Martin and Julie London and modern standard artists like Michael Buble, to 60’s and 70’s era classic rock (Beatles, Byrds, America, Donovan, Fleetwood Mac) to more modern rock and roll from the 80’s on forward and old rock and roll from the 50’s.
So I would have to say yes to Pop including The Bay City Rollers, The Backstreet Boys, Madonna, Pink, Michael Jackson and Beyonce.
The only types of music that I find hard to stomach are rap, really hard heavy metal (like speed metal and death metal) and some really hard-core experiemental jazz stuff and a whole slew of harsh sounding (to me) female singers like Bjork, Kate Bush, Ani Di Franco and Tori Amos.
