I usually say random shit into the mic. Then my singer says some random shit. Then we rock out. Sometimes with our cocks our. I try to project, with my face, the meaning of the words I’m singing. I’m in a chorus and have to focus on the director to make us seem more like an ensemble, but I can’t sing a song without thinking of the lyrics. If I sing by myself I can move more and do. I also have more eye contact with the audience then, as @poisonedantidote said. And I enunciate every word, because if the listener can’t understand the words, the song loses meaning.
