Have you ever forgotten not everyone is on Fluther, and used the word "Lurve" or called someone a "Jelly"?

“Great Question” (3points)

I just commented “Lurve!” on someones Facebook status… :)
I’m not sure if this should be in Social or Meta? I’m just going with Social…

No, but I have wanted to lurve people on Facebook. Luckily there is a like button. ;)

@jonsblond,
I like the “Great Answer” button better. :D:D:D

I said/used “lurve” before Fluther. But now when I use it outside of Fluther, it reminds me of Fluther.

I have not yet been absorbed into the world of fluther so much yet to use fluther terms outside of fluther. Also, I don’t think I have used the term “lurve” before now!

I have wanted to GA everything from emails, FB statuses, and people (face to face). I also try to use our text formatting everywhere, and get annoyed when it doesn’t work. I’ve said lurve and jellies around people who have no clue what I’m talking about. I am an addict, and I feel no shame!

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

@augustlan ohh, good points. I am all about the GA’s. I do use the text styling elsewhere, too, although it never works. :\

I feel kind of like a hypocrite because I’ve always disliked the “like” button on facebook!

@augustlan,
I do the same thing!

I also try to format text elsewhere, and I always want to GA people’s comments on Facebook :)

I follow people in real life all the time now, but I cannot recommend it…,the restraining orders are piling up here.
“But officer, I lurve these people!”

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

I have used “lurve”, but not “jelly”. And like Auggie and Seelix, I’ve also accidentally used the text formatting before I remembered where I was, LOL.

Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m gonna go post a jelly status on facebook and see how many raised eyebrows I get! :P

I have very nearly used the word “lurve,” but I always catch myself just in time. I’ve also tried to use the text formatting elsewhere, but I always remember that it won’t work before I actually post. Then I’m just disappointed.

@WillWorkForChocolate We’re curious now; you have to share your status with us. Pleeease.

I just posted, “I LURVE YOU JELLIES!!!” as a facebook status to see what would happen. So far only 2 people who are not from fluther have been confused. =0)

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

@WillWorkForChocolate you make me want to attempt the same experiment.

AshLeigh's avatar

@WillWorkForChocolate,
I’m gonna do that. :D

No, but it is a good idea. Except, the jelly tag might not go over so well with some of my larger clients.
