I don’t think what they wore was offensive. Dumb, but not offensive. Nor were they discriminated against. They were asked to reverse the shirt so not to offend others. Why is this even news?

If you don’t think that the t-shirt was offensive, then why do you think they were not discriminated against? To those who don’t discriminate against gays, can the t-shirt possibly be offensive?

The park worker’s response was mildly offensive.

Not at all, which is why I don’t get why she was asked to turn it inside out.

Ehh, I wouldn’t have been offended. Honestly, I don’t think I would have given it a second thought..

I once saw someone wearing a backpatch of Satan and a nun engaging in sexual acts in Disneyland. I would give that guy some respect knuckles. So no, that wouldn’t be offensive to me.

On that people of walmart site, there was a picture of a guy with a shirt that flat out stated “Jesus is a cunt”. I was dying laughing.

I think the fact that the park employee asked for the shirt to be reversed because “it was a family park.” is mildly offensive. That reasoning sort of suggests that gay marriage is inappropriate for children to be exposed to. I disagree with that, there is nothing inappropriate about gay/lesbian families just because they are not the norm.

I didn’t find the shirt offensive, but I also didn’t see it as a shirt about marriage equality for gays either. Honestly, the statement “marriage is so gay” just reminded me of when I was younger and people would always say “that’s so gay” referring to things they didn’t like. As far as asking her to reverse it because of it being a family park, I think they overreacted a bit there, but I really don’t see it as a big deal.

I don’t find the tshirt offensive at all (I actually think it is clever play on words) and I think they overreacted when asking her to turn it inside out. I’d be interested to know what Dolly’s thoughts on this are seeing as she is a big gay icon herself!
