@Earthgirl John Jorgenson is one of my favorite guitarists of all time. I’ve seen him live many, many times. I saw an entire show that was just the Gypsy Jazz stuff and he explained how he learned to play his guitar without using the two fingers that Django Reinhardt lost in an accident in the movie about him, so that it would be as authentic as possible.
I’ve also seen him perform with The Byrds (David Crosby, Roger McGuinn and the now deceased Gene Clark) which was one of the highlights of my entire concert going life.
And I’ve seen him play with his old band The Hellecasters, all 3 members of which are amazingly talented guitar players. One of my favorite songs that they do is called Hangin’ at Tom and Rita’s which is one of my favorite guitar songs of all times (and happens to be a very sexy, slow bluesy instrumental).
I’ve also seen him a bunch of times with The Desert Rose Band You can see him (he’s gorgeous) on the left. One of my favorite bands of all time!
