Do you mean you want to upload it to use as your avatar?
Fluther will only host one picture per user, the avatar picture. You can use a picture you made on Paint as your avatar.
You can also upload it to a different website, such as imgur and then post a link to it on Fluther.
Not the size. But, it’s a PNG image, and it says above the upload thing that I can upload that, and it’s not letting me. Once I click upload, there’s a bar at the bottom that says “We only allow JPEG, PNG, and GIF photos varied.” And the image is PNG.
Why isn’t it working?
There’s ^ that. But I’d really think a PNG would be smaller than 2 MB unless the resolution were enormous. I’m certain it has nothing to do with the fact that you made it in Paint, but it’s very odd that you’re running into this problem. I’ll think on this for a minute.
Save this off as a lower resolution file. It’s only an Avatar and hardly needs more that 100K to do it justice in the small footprint.
In MSPAINT, open the file, click file | save as | select a location and a format like .jpg
You might need to make it less rectangular. I made my avatar here on Paint, but I had to frame it smaller because once I uploaded it, some bits were hidden by the frame. Still, even if it’s too big, Fluther resizes it…you might need to save it under JPG. (I save it under the setting that includes most types of formats.)
I have no idea what I could have done differently that you guys didn’t do. The only thing I can think is for you to PM me your Fluther password, I’ll log on and put it there for you. I promise I’d be responsible, but I totally understand if you’re not comfortable doing this. It’s up to you!
Ahh! Sorry! I just saved it as a JPG and it worked first try for me. :\ No idea why it hasn’t worked for you, but my offer stands if you want me to put it there for you!
