@woodcutter, we used to call water “corporation pop” when we were kids. “Corporation” was the word used for the council, the provider of our tap water. “Pop” is a British word for soft drink.
“Corporation pop” is indeed a low calorie drink and if chilled and served with ice and lemon is delicious.
Alcohol has a lot of calories so it has to be something non-alcoholic. I’ll go with @filmfann and pick either coffee or tea, without milk or sugar. Calorie-free and a lot tastier than corporation pop!
@Bellatrix Indeed. Our water is great and I consider us lucky. Some water in other places is nasty to drink but our town has well water ,not from a lake that frogs and fish dump in, or weekenders in their jet skis zoom around on. It’s what we were all designed to consume from an evolutionary standpoint.
Back when I was a drinker I would always get JD and Diet Coke only because D.C. was what was handy. It didn’t taste right but back in those days I didn’t care….about taste. It was the power I was after…..the power.
You are stuck with tasteless not worth the trouble alternatives. Light beer blows…watered down mixed drinks blow…so roll a joint and catch a buzz calorie free….until the munchies do you in!
