“Great Question” (5points)

I just watched a movie called “Blaze the Pot Smoking Deer”.

I think I lost a few brain cells while watching this.

What’s the stupidest movie you’ve ever watched?

Probably Snakes on a Plane.

Nah, scratch that. Snakes on a Train was worse.

8Convulsions's avatar

Any Sci-Fi Channel original movie.

Brian1946's avatar

Reefer Madness, because it was serious in its outlandish portrayals of those who smoke weed.

However, the unintentional humor in the stupidity of those portrayals made for some major hilarity.

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

It’s a toss up between The Ring and The Time Traveler’s Wife. Ugggh.

KateTheGreat's avatar

@8Convulsions Awww man, one of my favorite movies is a Sci-Fi original movie.

There were so many, I would have to say “Weekend at Bernie’s” comes in off the top of my head as being a waste of an hour, I wonder if I manage to sit through the whole thing?

MacBatman31's avatar

I would have to say the dumbest movie I have ever seen is “The Box”. Horrible.

8Convulsions's avatar

@KateTheGreat Haha. I’m sorry! They are worth watching for a good laugh, at least. I mean, who would ever pass up Dinocroc vs Supergator?

KateTheGreat's avatar

@8Convulsions Hahahahahaha they are hilarious, but I was just joking! ;)

TexasDude's avatar

Any movie featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Thank god they are redeemed by Mike/Joel and the robot gang.

8Convulsions's avatar

@KateTheGreat Haha. Thank god!

TexasDude's avatar

Oh yeah, and this.

At least the chick in the movie was really hot.

KateTheGreat's avatar

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard Ugh, I remember you telling me about that.

jonsblond's avatar

Skyline is the worst movie ever.

8Convulsions's avatar

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard Awe, I didn’t think Rubber was THAT bad. It just kinda went on forever though.

Friday, Next Friday, Friday After Next. I just couldn’t get into them. O_o

Reefer Madness.

Training Day.

Zone Troopers. Bad low budget sci-fi meets even worse war movie.

chewhorse's avatar

@Brian1946 & @WestRiverrat… That was a very good comment.. I however was not amused with this tasteless turd. To me it was like those WWll Nazi propaganda films that they crammed down the gullet of comparable sleepers.. I disliked it because it was the foundation of the way we look at marijuana today. Not as serious as the Nazi attempt, but just as diabolic and effective. There are still people in America who view this dog as some sort of documentary.. Pathetic. YES! I vote “Reefer Madness” as the king of crap and a genuine waste of 16mm Kodachrome.

Flesh Gordon. I mean, funny in parts, but largely tacky, cheap & piss poor production.

I’m not sure. Twilight?

Pick something by the Wayan brothers.

Saw was good. It was just all the sequels that were crap.

My brain is overwhelmed with names of movies. But to start, I’d say pick something with Nicolas Cage in it, and we can start there.

I’d like to change my vote to Starship Troopers.

Talladega Nights. I love Will Ferrell but it was just too stupid, and full of product placements.

If a movie looks stupid, I will try to avoid it, which is why I have trouble choosing a movie to answer this question.

Crocasaurus versus Megashark. Oh my god.

redfeather's avatar

@jca the product placements were because it was a movie about NASCAR, ads are everywhere… To be fair, I was watching that on heavy pain meds in the hospital and I thought it was hilarious.

American Dreamz

filmfann's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille I love Bubba Ho-tep, but you might be right. It is a stupid movie, but I think it is possible to still enjoy it. That’s why I think I can make my pick a movie a lot of people like:

Napolean Dynamite.

My second choice was Future War, which is a bad sci-fi with robots, dinosaurs, kung-fu, and time travel. Ugh.

DeanV's avatar

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard As bad of a movie as Rubber was, I really liked the soundtrack to it.

erichw1504's avatar

Battlefield Earth… where do I begin?

sophiesword's avatar

Cujo… 90 mins of a woman and her kid trapped in a car, sweating their asses of with a crazy dog looking in from the window.

Joker94's avatar

Troll 2. And I loved every brain damaged minute of it.

Ayesha's avatar

The Tourist.

“Open Water” (2003). After the sex seen early in the movie it quckly became very stupid and borring,

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

Anything with Adam Sandler, except for Happy Gilmore. The only reason Happy Gilmore was good, was because I got to rewind the video and hear Bob Barker say “BITCH” over and over and over. =0)

TexasDude's avatar

@dverhey yeah, it had a great soundtrack.

mazingerz88's avatar

@jonsblond Awww, Skyline wasn’t so bad. It’s a pretty neat little sci-fi movie! Lol.

FutureMemory's avatar

@erichw1504 Good call on Battlefield earth. Horrendous in every possible way.

christine215's avatar

Biodome, with Pauly Shore and one of the Baldwin brothers
mind-numbingly stupid!

woodcutter's avatar

Pooty Tang. It was funny but stupid.

King_Pariah's avatar

Piranha 3D

ddude1116's avatar

Silent Night, Deadly Night. The first one, which was well-acted enough to be taken seriously, but not enough to be credulous. That, and it gave the killer background, and a really stupid background, too.

Also, Fred the Movie. I had to watch it with my cousin, she enjoyed it, but then again, she’s a kid, I, on the other hand, have a fear of high-pitched voices now.

Hibernate's avatar

@8Convulsions Syfy’s movies are somewhat weird but some area really great. Try watching The Room.

EPIC MOVIE ftl.

The Wicker Man: Not the bees!!!

Kardamom's avatar

Anchorman with Will Ferrell. I can’t stand him anyway, but that one was the worst!

cockswain's avatar

I also second any Sci Fi channel original, or the MST3000 picks. Laserblast was a particularly bad MST one.

Troll 2 is so famously bad that it has a huge cult following. They even made a documentary about it. The movie is hilarious though, so it can’t be the worst.

My personal pick is Jaws 4. The descendant of one of the previous movie’s sharks begins terrorizing the Brody family specifically. In the beginning, it leaps out of the water and bites off a Brody’s arm, then he falls in the water and is eaten. So the mom decides she needs to travel far away. She doesn’t go to Kansas, she goes to Bermuda. Well, the shark follows her a few thousand miles from New England to Bermuda and starts hassling her and her other son there. Eventually she gets on a sail boat to go fight the shark in the finale. No weapons, just a sailboat. Somehow the shark impales itself on the boat and all is well.

Why they didn’t just stay out of the water and just remained on the beach is beyond me.

“Old School.” It was awful no matter what Mr. tedibear thinks. Gah!

Neizvestnaya's avatar

OMG!!! I was trying to figure out and also Google the movie I was thinking of when I read down this list and @lucillelucillelucille had already nailed it.

Bubba Ho Tep. I still don’t get it.

jca's avatar

@redfeather: I guess on painkillers I’d be laughing like Anderson Cooper, too!

Street Fighter.
Seriously. Anyone who can combine a movie with Jean Claude Van Damme plus martial arts and make it the most horrible thing ever needs to be subjected to this horror movie about mutated baked potatoes shooting fuckers with laser guns.
I don’t remember the name of that movie.

Also, Seanbaby.

martianspringtime's avatar

Pirahna (2010), but to be fair, I think the entire point of that movie was to be as awful as possible.

Berserker's avatar

That movie rocked lol.

Hibernate's avatar

Oh and I forgot about The village

MacBatman31's avatar

Ninja Assasin sucked too.

Lightlyseared's avatar

I loved Ninja Assassin. It was stupid but it didn’t suck.

MacBatman31's avatar

I’m not much for the computerized blood and watching the guy get cut 30 times and only have 3 slash marks on him in the end.

filmfann's avatar

I loved the movie Shogun Assassin, and my kids grew up on it, but Shogun Assassin 2 was just about one of the worst things I ever saw.

Thammuz's avatar

Southland Tales. Hands down.

christine215's avatar

@Symbeline a guy I went to high school was in a bunch of really, really bad movies.. Street Fighter was one of them! hahahah!

Lightlyseared's avatar

@christine215 yeah but he was still in movies. Good or bad thats cool.
