Your cat may be just bored. Watch her behavior closely. If she stops eating, drinking, pooping or peeing it would be a good idea to quickly take her to see a veterinarian to check her out. Mouth problems can cause a cat to suddenly change it’s behavior and or start acting weird. Tooth abscess, mouth epithelial cell infections, nasal polyps and carcinomas are common.
My cat suddenly became lethargic last Monday and stopped eating or drinking, The veterinarian opened her mouth and said “That’s the biggest oral tumor I’ve ever seen”. Then he said well it might be something else. Lucky for my cat and I, it turned out to be treatable. It was a nasty infected area loaded with puss. Last night she ate a little food for the first time in nearly a week. The vet visit cost me almost $400 but it likely saved her life.
