Are you coming to Memphis?! Make sure you see Graceland, but stay on the beaten path it is a not so great part of town. In fact, be safe in general on any driving trip. Stick together, drive during daylight hours if you can. When you pump gas you lock your car doors if you leave your purse on the seat. Check your back seat before you get back into your car (you should always be doing this anyway in any place that has some crime, even where you might live.
As far as the drive, bring your favorite snack foods and some wet wipes so you don’t get the car greasy or full of Dorito orange. I do recommend stopping to eat, get out stretch, take a break. It is good to stand every couple hours, healthier, safer. However, in TN, you should plan your stops a little in advance, you don’t want to get out in the hood. Seriously if you will be in or near Nashville maybe ask johnpowell, although he might scare you to death because he is a cop, if I haven’t already, lol. Downtown Nashville near the university is very safe. I can help you near Memphis.
