Because it makes me so very happy, and I buy movie tickets.

And they rarely kick their uber unhelpful high heels off when being chased.

It is for the same reason the camera did a slow pan up the body of the new girl in the Tranformers movie: sex sells.

It’s cheap marketing.

And those tanks tops always seem to get wet and they dry out much quicker than hoody’s or parkas.

You can’t see jiggle in a sweatshirt.

Everyone has left out the obvious…........sweating. It’s not the wet t-shirt syndrome, it’s sweat.

The ladies sweat big time underneath the lights of the cameras and in running rolls.

It’s the sweating and nothing else.

Sure.

So often, horror movies follow a very similar structure. They seem to like to include as the victims, teenagers who behave shallowly and are promiscuous. Then when they get killed the audience feels a sense of victory – “Hell yeah, those annoying teenagers finally got what they deserved!” Probably the outfits are just meant to highlight this role.
