I’ve used Simple File Joiner for that sort of thing before. It doesn’t work with all formats, but IIRC, it does work with MP3.

Audacity is free online and it works very well.

I’ve tried Audacity and it frustrates me. It seems like it should be easier, somehow.

All I want to do is take the words “What we got here is a failure to communicate” from Cool Hand Luke and merge it into “Truckin’” by the Grateful Dead. I have both files in mp3 formats but all free editors I have found make it very difficult for me.

I also find Audacity to be a pain in the balls.

I don’t know how people find audacity difficult to use, I find it extremely simple.

@Blueroses Sure, if you link me to the youtube videos with the music, and be very desscriptive of what you want, I can give it a whirl, I’m not sure I get get exactly what you envision, but I can probably get close. Its best if youfind the youtube links to the exact version because there are many versions of each song up there.

@Blueroses Are you trying to layer them, or merge them into one long(er) mp3 file?

Thank you. I love you guys! I want that Cool Hand Luke line to be on top of the intro to the song “Truckin’”. Or lead into it..either way.

My dad is a truck driver and always complains about his boss’s inability to communicate. This would be a funny and personal gift for him but I’m so frustrated in the trying to do it. I’m good with computers but I’ve never done anything with video/audio editing and I’m about ready to kick some random puppy trying to figure this out.
