What is your favorite Epic Battle Theme (orchestrated)?

“Great Question” (1points)

I am looking for epic (battle/orchestral) scene tracks particularly from movie soundtracks (or anything similar). Two favorites of mine that really get me going are:
1) The Battle – From the “Gladiator” OST
2) Achilles Leads the Myrmidons – from the “Troy” OST

Using these 2 as examples, can you point me to a track that is similar? It should be grand/exciting in composition, and the more complex/varied the better. It should also be orchestrated, I’m not interested in any other genre right now. Another note, please do not recommend whole OST’s or composers, I am looking for songs so give me the best of the best! Thanks, -G

The Ride of the Valkyries should get everyone’s blood going and it fits your criteria.

(Excuse me while I strap on my breast plate and braid my hair.)

And, if you can stand it, HItler’s Imperial March

Thus Spake Zarathustra By Richard Strauss and used by Stanley Kubrick for 2001, A Space Odyssey.

Neodammerung from The Matrix Revolutions. Epic in every sense of the word.

This theme used in Conan the Barbarian is probably my favourite epic battle theme ever. It starts out slow and calm, and eventually goes mental. Composed by Basil Poledouris.

I wish this would play outta nowhere every time I brush my teeth.

Stuff from Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
