@AmWiser & @tedd I don’t accept moral relativism. Not all politicians are exactly the same. Mahatma Gandhi wasn’t exactly like Hitler or Pol Pot. I find it interesting that right wingers so often rage against moral relativism, but trot it out at every opportunity to clain their their own are no worse than any other politician. It’s simply not true. Not all people are exactly alike. Quite the opposite.
As you both note, Christie certainly has the right to change his mind. I respect that. But as @Mariah notes, the man said he would not run because he didn’t feel he was ready for the job of president of the USA. Setting that concern aside isn’t the sasme as simply changing your mond and deciding that the time is right.
@SpatzieLover I understand that several far-right billionaires have been putting up offers for that purchase. Of course, he’s to do their bidding once bought.
@philosopher I think that pretty well captures it. Now is his chance, because if we wait to see how his term as governor turns out, he won’t stand a snowball’s chance in Hell of getting elected to the highest office in the land.
