How are my computer and cell phone connected?

I did a google search on my cell phone earlier this evening. Just now I went to search the same thing on my computer browser and it popped up as being something I’ve searched for before. I have definitely never searched it before tonight, so does that mean that google somehow knows that this phone and computer belong to the same person and synched them? How?

It’s based on the router IP, I’ve had stuff from my ipod show up as visited on my PC, and vice verca.

This may be a dumb question, but how does my cell phone relate to my router? It uses 3G, not Wifi.

@Mariah Then you must be logged into google, and it saves the history.
