How about…Blackberry’s question, ‘Why is using proper grammar such a problem for some people?’. That one definitely seems to be unneccessarily running up the answer count in my mind.
@erichw1504 I know that’s supposed to be true, but i recently asked a questioner the meaning of a word in the question and was told, “Google it.” Made me think of my father who, when I asked the meaning of a word as a child, barked “Look it up in the dictionary!” Did not endear the questioner to me, obviously.
It’s one thing for a father or other person in position of responsibility for educating to instruct a person to look it up. It’s quite rude to flog a stranger in public with that command. I really dislike when that happens. It feels elitist and unnecessary.
